Enthusiasm High for GMO Labeling in Phoenix, Prescott, Sedona

FAIRFIELD, IA., February 3, 2013 - Invited by leading Prescott, Phoenix and Sedona organizations, the nation’s favorite GMO educator and filmmaker, Jeffrey M. Smith, has chosen Arizona to kick off the 2013 14-state GMO Voter Education Tour, with stops in Phoenix, Prescott and the Raw Living Expo in Sedona. Interested Arizona voters can choose from a wide mix of

educational opportunities designed especially for them, including lectures, speaker trainings, GMO expert panels, and movie screenings of the new GMO smash hit film, Genetic Roulette: The Gamble Of Our Lives. We believe that the current generation of GMOs are not safe and should be removed from the market, but in the interim we support the right for consumers to make healthier non-GMO choices.

The Food Policy Fund is focused on the development of policies that promote the mandatory labeling of GMOs, the creation of GMO-free zones and other measures to safeguard human and environmental health. We strongly support independent testing of GMOs.

We support state ballot initiatives, because we regard them as a game changer and the restoration of a fundamental right of citizens.
